Child Support Payments
Once you apply for child support assistance, support must be paid through our Support Collection Unit.
You can't accept direct payments from the paying parent. Parents can't agree to change the amount of the support without asking permission from Family Court.

Whether you're paying or receiving child support, with an online account you can look up payment information, view account statements, update contact information and more.
Receiving Child Support Payments
Through our Support Collections Unit, you can receive child support payment one of two ways:
- Direct deposit
- Debit card
If either type of electronic payment is a hardship, the parent who receives support can request payments by paper check.
Direct Deposit
- Complete, sign and return the enrollment form to the address shown on the form.
Yes.
- Receiving Public Assistance: Child support payments collected for individuals who receive public assistance are not eligible for Direct Deposit.
- Trust Accounts: Direct deposits cannot be made to a trust account to benefit another person.
- Foreign Financial Institutions: In some cases, direct deposit to foreign financial institution may be possible. Call our office if you have questions.
- Contact your financial institution to confirm that a direct deposit was completed.
- If your financial institution has no record of the deposit and more than two business days have passed, call the Child Support Helpline at 888-208-4485

- Access your funds at any Allpoint or MoneyPass ATM

Yes. Customers can set up an online account to check their payment information.
There are fees for using the card to withdraw money at an out-of-network ATM, for an international cash withdrawal and for replacing the card.
There are no fees for:
- Purchases at merchants
- ATM balance inquiries (all ATMs)
- Declined transactions (ATMs only)
- Withdrawals at all in-network ATMs
- Teller cash access at financial institutions that accept Mastercard debit cards in the continental United States
- Online, automated, live or international customer service inquiries
- Use of the mobile app
- Account Alert Service
- Online funds transfer
- Mailed account statement
- Account closure check issuance
Deposits to your New York State Mastercard Way2Go Card will begin approximately 12 calendar days after your card is mailed to you if a payment has been made to your child support account.
Please allow two full business days from the disbursement date to access your child support payments on the card.
Paper Check
If either type of electronic payment is a hardship, the parent receiving support can write a letter requesting that payments be made by paper check.

Making Child Support Payments
You can make a child support payment in person at selected locations, use an online payment service or pay by mail.

Payments made at our office have no fees
Office Hours: 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Please arrive by 4 p.m. if you're making an in-person payment.
Pay in person at participating retailers:

- With MoneyGram you can pay with cash at participating retailers (including CVS and Walmart).
- You will need the New York Receive Code 14690.
- The fee is $3.99 for MoneyGram cash payment.
- Payments process in approximately 2-5 days.
Payments may be sent electronically through the following online services:
- Call 888-877-0450 to make a one-time payment.
- Pay with credit or debit card, Digital Wallet, PayPal and PayPal Credit, Venmo, Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, Google Pay.
- There is a 2.90% fee for each transaction (with minimum fee of $4.95).
- To set up recurring payments, register at ChildSupportBillPay New York and pay online with a credit card or debit card.
- Payment processing time: 3 business days.
- Case identifier is required to make a payment.
- Call 888-877-0450 to speak with a customer service representative, 7 a.m. – 7 p.m., Monday–Friday.
- Call 866-645-6347 to make a phone payment (pre-registration required).
- Pay with credit or debit card, directly from your bank account (direct debit) or with a PayPal account.
- There is a $2.50 one-time registration fee for all payment types.
- There is no transaction fee for direct debit payments.
- The fee for PayPal and credit/debit card payments is 2.95% per transaction (with a maximum service charge of $60).
- Payment processing times depend on the payment method:
- Direct debit: Up to four business days.
- PayPal and Credit/Debit card: Next business day for payments made before 5:00 PM Eastern time.
- Download the ExpertPay App from the Google Play store or the iOS App store to access your ExpertPay account.
- Chat, email or call (800-403-0879) to speak with a customer service representative in English or Spanish from 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.
- Pay with a debit or credit card.
- Requires New York Receive Code 14690.
- Fee is $3.99 for online payment.
- Payments process in approximately 2-5 days.

1. Make your check or money order payable to NYS Child Support Processing Center.
With your check or money order, always include information to identify your payment:

- the child support account number(s) or New York Case Identifier(s)
- the county name(s)
- the amount of the payment

2. Include a payment coupon
If you have an online account, you can log in and print a payment coupon with your name and Case Identifier or complete and print this coupon (PDF).
